RANZCP 2025 New Zealand Conference

From your 2025 organising committee...

Thank you for joining us online and remotely for the RANZCP New Zealand Conference 2025, 8-10 September, we have enjoyed an excellent three days of presentations, learnings, socialising and networking.

We embraced the theme Hei Whakaora Hinengaro, the concept of healing the mind, with excellent talks from Professor Robert Waldinger of the Harvard Study of Adult Development,  and an exploration of happiness and Dr Rory Hutchinson on our inner child. Dr James Le Bas shared learnings from a psychiatrist's journey with lived experience, and philosopher and psychotherapist Professor Traill Dowie offered contemporary research topics and Dr Kate Fulford, talked on the challenges of providing services within vulnerable populations.

The kapa haka group from Otago Boys and Girls High Schools, was a highlight of the conference dinner, where delegates enjoyed a delicious crafted menu from Precinct Catering and were able to visit the TÅ«hura Otago Museum exhibits in the interactive Science Centre and the Butterfly Forest.

In addition, thank you to our oral and poster presenters, chairs, moderators and paper judges for their contribution to the 2025 NZ conference.

We look forward to seeing you all again in the Bay of Islands, from 12-14 October 2026!
