Kate has a breadth of experience spanning the health care system, working in hospital pharmacy, general practice, aged care, homeless health care, Aboriginal Health, clinical governance, academia and research.

Kate is currently the Director of Strategy and Clinical Innovation at Pramana Medical Centre, a health service committed to closing the gap in health outcomes for First Nations people and delivering Health without Barriers to marginalised community members. Prior to this Kate worked in health innovation, leading the development and implementation of novel models of care across Australia.

Kate has pioneered throughout her career; she was one of the first pharmacists working in General Practice in Australia and has made a significant contribution to shaping the future of this career pathway for the profession. Kate was the first pharmacist working in in-home Aged Care in Australia, providing clinical expertise to optimise medication management in older Australians. During this time, she also undertook research and academia roles at the University of Western Australia (UWA) focused on improving brain health in Aboriginal people and optimising medication usage in people living with dementia.

Whilst at UWA Kate was awarded multiple academic prizes. In May 2021 she was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia's WA Early Career Pharmacist award for her contribution to progressing the pharmacist profession. More recently, in November 2024, she was awarded a National Stronger Medicare Award on behalf of Pramana Medical Centre for their holistic approach to health care within the community.
